70x60mm "Sculptor, visual artist, born 27 May 1880 in Stockholm, died 16 September 1967 in Hellerup in Denmark. As early as 1882, the family moved to Copenhagen. Interest in painting came early. In 1894 the family moved back to Sweden, to Helsingborg, and two years later moved to Gothenburg. He worked as an apprentice painter at the same time as he studied in the evenings at the Slöjdföreningens school, 1897-1898. There he became friends with Ivar Arosenius. The friendship lasted until Ivar Arosenius's death. In 1898, both became students at Valand's Art School, under the direction of Carl Wilhelmson. He and Ivar Arosenius then applied to the Art Academy in Stockholm. Ivar was accepted, but not Henning".
