" Lithographic Allehanda contains short stories and lithographic plates on just about everything. Art, travel, science, fashion, history etc. It contains many interesting and well executed lithographs after Swedish artists. The publication was geared towards the emerging middle class. An easy and slightly intellectual read. It became quite popular in its time. The first annual was published by Axel Jacob Salmson who was one of the first to print color lithographs in Sweden. He eventually ran into economic troubles and fled to America in the early 1860s. The publishing was continued by Sigfrid Flodin".
