Helmut Middendorf (born 1953) is a prominent German artist known for his contribution to the "Neue Wilde" (New Wild) movement in the 1980's in Germany. He was born in Dinklage, Middendorf, and studied at the Berlin School of Art, where he was known for his distinctive and provocative style. His work uses bright colours, expressive brushstrokes and a bold, raw aesthetic. Middendorf takes inspiration from pop culture, advertising and street art, creating paintings that capture the energy and vitality of contemporary urban life. His images often depict stylised human figures and abstract cityscapes, evoking a sense of dynamism and movement. Over the course of his career, Middendorf has explored a variety of media, including painting, sculpture and installation, leaving a lasting legacy on German contemporary art scene.
