Day dimensions: 38 x 23 cm Frame dimensions 58 x 43 cm Herbert Boeckl born 1894 in Klagenfurt (Carinthia), died 1966. Architecture student at the Technical University of Vienna. As a private student of Adolf Loos, he socialized with artists such as Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt and Carl Moll.
In 1913, his work was shown for the first time in an exhibition at the Österreichischer Künstlerbund's art salon Pisko. In 1964, Herbert Boeckl had a large retrospective exhibition at the Museum of 20th Century Art in Vienna.
