"Reprint in facsimile after the first edition in Swedish from 1928. Palladio's account of the theory and practice of architecture was first published in Venice in 1570. 'Its importance can hardly be overestimated. What Linnaeus' Systema Naturae was for the natural sciences and Thomas a Kempis' four books on the following of Christ for the Christian church, Palladio's four books on architecture have been for the architects of the West' (Martin Olsson in the preface).".
