Horse racing game in box 'Escalado'. Contents of box include 5 diecast racing horses with riders astride and a green racing track with metal table clamps.
Description of the main box:
Blue rectangular box with colour print affixed to top of lide depicting a horse race. Printed in blue at top facing right “ESCALADO” / REGD AS TRADE MARK / THE MECHANICAL RACE GAME. A list of patents applied printed on bottom facing left of lid.

Affixed on inside of lid is a b&w print.
From top : “ESCALADO” then trademark and patent information followed by a dipection of 5 people playing the game. Under said depiction is several paragraphs describing how to set up the game - ‘Directions for Fixing’ and what the rules are – ‘Rules of the Game’.

Inside the main box:
The racetrack consists of a cardboard box with a green cloth track. This can be affixed to a table by way of two clamps attached to the box base. At the centre top of the box is a plastic winding mechanism.
