A collection of texts by several writers about Haiti. Original cloth binding, 19 x 12 cm. Contains yellow end-papers, engraved frontispiece with the signature Geffrard, title-page, dedication, invitation by Geffrard (Haiti is the common country of the black race"), contents, introduction, the pine and palm (poetry), 22 texts, publishers bulletin-in all 180+12 pages plus map.
The map is fold-out and hand-colored, 63 x 36 cm. The Geffrard map of the island of Hayti is published by the Haitian Bureau of Emigration, Boston, Mass, 1981.
The book is published by the same.
