GLAIVE (KUSE), of the guard of Ferdinand III (1608-1657) Archduke of Austria, King of Hungary from 1625, King of Croatia and Bohemia from 1627 and Holy Roman Emperor from 1637 until his death in 1657, etched inscription on the blade; FIII (cypher of Ferdinand III), FIRMAMENTA REGNORVM, cross, sword, sceptre and scales of justice revers; FIII, crowned composite arms and the date 1629, length 251 cm, shaft 180 cm
Provenance: Bought from an auction in the 1970s after the swedish countess Vivan Mörner (born Cedergren) (1878-1975), married to count Claes Mörner.
