Palsgaard Curated auctions are like a dear old acquaintance who always knows how to keep time. We are now presented with the 44th edition, and as expected, it’s full of goodies.
At the center of it all stands Hans J Wegner’s Oculus armchair, like a throne above Danish furniture art. And there’s more by the same designer. Here you’ll find both Sawbuck chairs and a Sabre Leg table. Alongside works by Danes such as Børge Mogensen, Illum Wikkelsø, and Gunni Omann, there are models by Swedish designers such as Bruno Mathsson, Arne Norell, and Roland Wilhelmsson.
Beyond this, art and prints are presented, primarily by Danish artists. Among the smaller craft objects is a lovely little piece by Karl Lindeberg, in blooming purple Swedish Art Nouveau. The pair of candlesticks by Thorvald Bindesbøll may come in handy in the autumn darkness, not to mention the models in the lighting department.
All in all, the catalogue comprises over 270 lots, so there is plenty to see at Palsgaard Curated 44.
