What's so nice about Crafoord Auktioner Lund's book auctions is that they span everything from centuries-old incunabula to fairly modern editions with a high charm factor. So there's nothing strange at all about three royal ordinances from the 1600s sharing space with Gottfried Keller's Kläderna gör mannen ("Clothes Make the Man") - do check out the cover, by the way, elegant, isn't it? And roughly in between them we find Andrée's little pamphlet Förslag till Polarfärd med Luftballong ("Proposal for a Polar Expedition by Balloon"), with the title in a truly lovely turn-of-the-century typeface.
And so it goes throughout the just over 170 lots. Harry Martinson's debut Spökskepp ("Ghost Ship") in first edition beside Andy Warhol's Stockholm catalogue. A view of Ireland by the cartographer Frederick de Wit side by side with Kristina Lugn's Lugn bara lugn. Ulf Lundell's Jack leaning against a couple of 19th-century volumes on botany. And so on. And so on.
Welcome!
