Under the title 'Modern Ceramics,' Crafoord Stockholm welcomes you to a themed auction brimming with classics. Here, selected works by Berndt Friberg, Gunnar Nylund, Karin Björquist, Carl-Harry Stålhane, Stig Lindberg, Lisa Larson, and many other prominent Swedish ceramic artists are presented. From Wilhelm Kåge, several Argenta pieces are on display, as well as a lovely small bowl in Farsta pottery. In addition to these, there are works by international names like Joan Carrillo, Kati Tuominen-Niittylä, and Artus van Briggle.
However, the auction also holds some rare gems. Among the over 100 lots, you will find, for instance, a 24 cm tall vase from Motala Lervarufabrik that might be a treat for connoisseurs and ceramic detectives. Sylvia Leuchovius offers a true artwork with her grogged sculpture, made at Rörstrand's Porcelain Factory. And the bird-shaped pitcher with an accompanying cup from Limoges is not for just any tea drinker.
