Limhamns Auktionsbyrå presents Silver, Jewellery and Selected Objects — a concentrated theme filled with beautiful things.
The presumed centrepiece is a pendant in sterling silver with a cushion-cut rock crystal from 1943. At even the briefest glance it is clear that no one other than Wiwen Nilsson could be the creator. His ability to elevate geometry to art has few equals, and his jewellery is today highly sought after on the auction market. The Lund-born master is here also represented by several further works of the highest quality. In a theme comprising just under 40 lots, these share the space with pieces by among others Tone Vigeland, Tapio Wirkkala, Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe and Björn Weckström. Alongside the jewellery, a select few pieces of corpus silver are also presented.
