Auktionskammaren Sydost in Kalmar dedicates an entire theme to art. A total of 165 lots have been displayed for public viewing. The focus is on modern painting, but here and there, you can find exceptions of varying types. The obvious main attraction is Simon Gates' Reclining Woman, a work that once belonged to Gates' colleague Sven Palmqvist. Among the other pieces, there are paintings by Acke Åslund and Arthur Percy, prints by Edward Hald and P.G. Thelander, and a textile work by Anita Hedin.
