Now it’s landscape painting in pure Scanian! Gunnar Berglund was born in Helsingborg in 1906. It wasn’t until the late 1930s that he began his artistic studies, first at the Skånska målarskolan (the Scanian School of Painting) and then in both Copenhagen and Paris.
At Garpenhus Auktioner, we are presented with his landscape motifs and city views. Berglund has drawn his subjects here from Bornholm and Österlen, and we also get to look into Örup’s elm forest on an early spring day. In total, 21 paintings are on offer.
A warm welcome!
