Like a trusted old clock, Palsgaard Kunstauktioner keeps perfect time, presenting their Curated auctions with wonderful regularity. Now we're served the 42nd edition, and just like the previous feasts, the catalogue is richly filled with art, craftsmanship, and design. Welcome!
Among the more than 260 lots are furniture by Arne Vodder, Børge Mogensen, and Hans J Wegner, Danish-made lighting (which has become something of a specialty at Palsgaard Kunstauktioner), selected Musselmalet porcelain, a French mantel clock, an impressive vase by Carl Halier, a vase by Vicke Lindstrand, and much, much more.
The most elegant piece is probably the pair of rosewood-and-leather lounge chairs. The most transparent is, of course, the Pop armchair, a contemporary design piece from Kartell. The most charming might just be the pine sperm whale. Or perhaps it's Kay Bojesen's chubby little block cart.
There's plenty to see here!
