It all began in Bjärnum, where brothers Uno and Östen Kristiansson grew up surrounded by the furniture industry. From an early age, they tagged along to their father's workshop, and after training and apprenticeships in different places, they returned home to design furniture and lamps. Before long, lighting took over, with countless lamps in teak and opal glass. During the 1960s, they moved into plastics, and when the growing public sector was crying out for good lighting, Uno and Östen answered with trendy lamps for floors, tables, walls, and ceilings.
