Rolf Hammarlund 60's & 70's Collection

Rolf Hammarlund is a Swedish music journalist who has worked as a producer of music documentaries and TV series for SVT and Sveriges Radio since 1980, and has collected guitars and other instruments, pop memorabilia, CDs and vinyl records, as well as limited, signed music books as a hobby, ever since he himself played in various bands in the '60s.
Rolf produced the very first TV documentary about The Beatles' legendary producer Sir George Martin's life in 1993, as well as the very first TV documentary about the German musician and artist Klaus Voormann in 2002. He has also made TV documentaries about the Bee Gees, Art Garfunkel, and The Beatles' very first foreign tour, to Sweden in October 1963.
But above all, Rolf produced the music series Sixties and Seventies for SVT, comprising more than 30 half-hour episodes about the music of the '60s and '70s.
He traveled around England, the US, and Germany interviewing most of the bands from those decades - among them The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Supremes, The Who, Small Faces, The Ronettes, The Beach Boys, Procol Harum, Lovin' Spoonful, Martha and the Vandellas, Kinks, The Four Tops, The Animals, The Mamas and the Papas, The Byrds, The Hollies, The Shadows, Deep Purple, YES, The Monkees, Chicago, Jethro Tull, Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Yardbirds, ELO, Wings, 10CC, The Troggs, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Mott the Hoople, ABBA, and many others. As well as solo artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Donovan, Cilla Black, Percy Sledge, B.B. King, Bobby Vee, Gloria Gaynor, Don McLean, Olivia Newton-John, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Suzi Quatro, and more.
On most of these recording trips, Rolf brought along instruments, records, and books to use during the filmed interviews. He would then have the artists sign the items, and it's these very objects that are now included in the auction.
