As Falun Auktionsbyrå launches its very first themed sale, we are invited to appreciate a ceramicist of world-class stature. Seventeen selected works by Berndt Friberg are presented — and here one can truly speak of perfected forms immersed in the most wondrous glazes.
And who would have expected anything less? During his years at Gustavsbergs Porslinsfabrik, Berndt Friberg refined the art of wheel-throwing to its very pinnacle. At the turning wheel he became a master, and when his creations emerged from the kiln, fired in Aniara and Harpäls glazes, one could scarcely do anything but marvel.
And there is every reason to marvel once again as Falun Auktionsbyrå presents Berndt Friberg.
