Uppsala Auktionskammare highlights, frames, and illuminates that uniquely Nordic spirit. In a themed sale comprising nearly 80 lots, we are offered a fresh dose of the blond expression in furniture, the light in paintings — the kind that rarely dips below the horizon during the summer months — and perhaps even a hint of that melancholic touch that keeps balance just right.
The sale features Lisa Larson, Carl Malmsten, and Svenskt Tenn, but also Oskar Bergman, Maja Fjaestad, and a late Baroque candlestick.
Particularly delightful is Osvald Lundgren’s Bohuslän spring-winter landscape, which clearly reflects his background as a lithographer at the turn of the twentieth century.
