The first edition of Lilla Kvalitén of the year is filled with an array of delights for all of us who cherish art, antiques, decorative arts, and design. From the fairy-tale world of John Bauer comes a small troll, Olle Nyman contributes a mosaic depicting the coat of arms of Gotland, and a silver sugar bowl from 1790 was crafted by the master silversmith Petter Eneroth.
These are but three examples chosen almost at random. Many more could be mentioned: paintings by Sam Middleton, a pair of late Gustavian barrel-back armchairs, a longcase clock from Norrbotten, and Salvador Dalí’s Le cabinet anthropomorphique.
Alongside these highlights, the auction also offers Scandinavian lighting, Oriental rugs, continental Old Master paintings, and much more.
