Auktionskammaren Sydost Kalmar has flung the wardrobe doors wide open and now invites us to explore an impressive piece of costume history!
A catalogue comprising over 140 lots presents traditional dress for celebrations and festivities. Some of the pieces are Swedish, but many tell the story of Poland's rich textile heritage. Traditional components of an Öland costume are thus interspersed with the needlework craft of Kraków. And there is more besides. An evening gown from Paris shimmers like a fairy dance in the palest sky blue. And from Ateljé Krinolin in Stockholm comes a wedding dress complete with train. The theme also includes several bags from the fashion house Louis Vuitton.
As you can tell, it may well be worth taking a closer look at what Auktionskammaren Sydost Kalmar is presenting under the heading Folkdräkter & Festkläder – Folk Costumes & Festive Dress.
Welcome!
