Gomér & Andersson Nyköping presents Paintings by Birgitta Lovén – Charity Auction in support of Operation Smile!
During her lifetime, Birgitta Lovén was a powerful force whose creative drive was not confined to the easel alone. She initiated painting schools for children and was deeply engaged in questions of equality and justice. It is therefore no coincidence that her works can be found at the Swedish Church in Vienna, Gävle County Hospital, and Mälarsjukhuset, to name just a few examples.
At Gomér & Andersson Nyköping we are presented with more than 80 works by Birgitta Lovén. Together, they reveal her expressive style – bold in colour and rich in subject matter.
The proceeds from this sale will benefit Operation Smile, an international medical charity providing free surgeries for children and adults with cleft lip and palate and other surgical needs.
