Örebro Stadsauktioner embarks on the warrior’s path and proudly presents the theme Samurai. It is believed that the word “samurai” first appeared in writing about a thousand years ago. Loosely translated, it means “to serve,” and the samurai swore oaths of loyalty to their feudal lords. Over the centuries, samurai culture evolved and remains to this day a powerful symbol of Japan — not least through its frequent appearances in popular culture.
At Örebro Stadsauktioner, we are now presented with a Katana, three Washizaki, and just as many Tsuba — one of which is decorated with a motif of a thousand monkeys.
