Artistic creativity and refined engineering come together as Stockholms Auktionsverk Magasin 5 presents Modern Swedish Lighting.
You are warmly invited to explore more than 80 outstanding examples of lighting design. The focus is on models from the 1930s and 1940s, with some representation from the 1950s. The catalogue also includes a few exquisite highlights from the Jugend era, a time when electric light was still a novelty, bordering on the magical. One such example is Harald Notini’s model 6735 in patinated copper from the 1910s. It shares few similarities with the spherical model 4173 in blue glass, produced at Malmö Metallvarufabrik AB a couple of decades later. Alongside these two gems are designs from Nordiska Kompaniet, ASEA, Boréns, and several other well-established manufacturers.
