Eva Englund, Bertil Vallien, Edvin Öhrström, Sven Palmqvist, and Gunnar Cyrén are among the glass artists included here—creators whose works have become almost beloved household treasures. Yet the auction also makes room for a few rarities: a transparent Fiskgraal by Edward Hald, for instance. Or Wilhelm de Moor’s 1940s vase with turquoise decoration. And what can one say about Vicke Lindstrand’s perfectly round Colora? It looks as though it could contain an entire world.
