A gentle early summer breeze sweeps over Auktionshuset Kolonn and their selected items under the theme of Nordic Art and Design. In a catalog featuring 145 lots, a careful selection of pieces from these two fields is presented, offering a mix of classic Swedish painting and the best of Scandinavian design. Thus, Olof Arborelius' small boy with a snowball in hand can be mentioned in the same breath as Eero Aarnio's spherical ball chair, Pelle Åberg's French café motif alongside Poul Kjaerholm's clinically strict granite-topped coffee table, and Axel Nordgren's pale moon casting light over Märta Måås-Fjetterström's elegantly composed parquet rug.
In addition, there is a silver cutlery set by Eric Löfman, twelve plates from Stig Lindberg's Löja series, furniture by Josef Frank, royal Danish porcelain, and even a folk costume. Add to that Bruno Mathsson's Maria Flap drop-leaf table, a few colorful prints by Lennart Jirlow, and Sven Bertil Berg's almost heavenly Pale Ale, and you have a taste of the early summer's offerings of Nordic art and design at Auktionshuset Kolonn.
