It all started with a broken Optimus 930. It was in 1968 that Stefan Berg discovered it on a shelf at the Kyrkheddinge demolition firm. At that moment, it may not have seemed like much, but it sparked something within him. Something that would blossom into a collecting hobby that has lasted for over half a century. In his profession, he traveled the world, and whenever time allowed, he visited flea markets and scrapyards. There, in backyards and storage yards in South America, Australia, and the Far East, he found camp stoves that had once been shipped from Swedish ports. But he also found a long line of foreign appliances from countries like China, Japan, and Russia, as well as, notably, imitations and pure copies of Swedish items. Over the years, he soon became an expert on all imaginable designs that ignited, burned, and provided warmth. And now, Ekenbergs Auctions can present a theme with 350 lots in a plethora of blow lamps, storm lanterns, kerosene lamps, and camping stoves, some of them still in their original packaging. A few irons have also been included, as well as a spotlight and some other odd gadgets that perhaps only the most knowledgeable can fully understand. Welcome to Ekenbergs Auctions!
