In the midst of the Swedish midsummer, Stockholm's Auction House in Gothenburg presents Modern and Contemporary Art & Design! The selection is impressive, featuring paintings by the vibrant colorists Ivan Ivarson, Ragnar Sandberg, and Tor Bjurström, furniture by Hans J Wegner, Arne Jacobsen, and Bruno Mathsson, modern silver jewelry, handpicked vintage items, and even a pair of football shoes signed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic - an artist unlike any other in the world of sports.
Lennart Rhodes' artwork "Cliffs" from 1946 is among the highlights of the theme. So is the Chanel "Jumbo Flap Bag" in delicate old rose, P G Thelander's magnificent blue square, and Karin Björquist's Nobel set consisting of 24 pieces. Alongside these, you'll find art by Pelle Åberg, Madeleine Pyk, and Cecilia Haupt, an Janus sculpture by Anna Petrus, and Ringo Starr's rendition of Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd's world-renowned "Non-Violence" artwork. In total, the design pantry holds over 120 treasures to suit both smaller and larger budgets.
