One wants to have plenty of time, peace and quiet, and most importantly, a reasonably well-filled suitcase of money when facing the displays of Auktionshuset Kolonn. They offer color and form, large and small, in the theme of Glass and Ceramics.
A 61 cm (!) high wall relief by Rut Bryk arouses desire even from a distance. On the other hand, one must approach a small, round, red and orange vase with blue dots by Isak Isaksson, preferably turning and twisting it, allowing oneself to be amazed and captivated by the glaze effects. An owl from Michael Andersen & Son presents an entirely different impression. It stares persistently through a glossy, red-black glaze, as if made for a romantic turn-of-the-century librarian. These are just a few examples from a theme comprising nearly 100 lots, carefully curated by the auction house staff.
