Christain Modersohn (October 13, 1916 Bremen - December 24, 2009 Bremen); Son of Otto Modersohn and Louise Modersohn-Breling, third generation of the Modersohn painter dynasty. Small-format work, pastel chalk / charcoal on paper, unsigned, glued to younger cardboard, there inscribed in graphite for Otto Modersohn Christian Modersohn. Framed behind glass in a passe-partout, gallery rail. Unopened, possibly inscribed on the reverse. Enclosed invoice & receipt from the Hanover art trade from 1987, acquired at the Cologne art fair, issued there as a work by his father.
