Biography

Hawk Alfredson, born Nils Håkan Anders Alfredsson on September 24, 1960, in Örebro, is a Swedish artist known for his symbolic and surreal oil paintings. His works are characterized by a Nordic tone and technique, often crossing the boundaries between surrealism, magical realism, symbolism, and fantastic art.

Alfredson studied at Fetco's School of Fine Arts and Pernby’s Painting School in Stockholm. He moved to New York City in 1995 and quickly became part of the city's art scene. For a decade, he lived and worked in the legendary Chelsea Hotel, where he frequently exhibited his works in the hotel's corridors.

His art has been exhibited internationally and is highly sought after by collectors.
