"No one but possibly the author himself has been able to read through these 240 pages, each of which is filled with noble nonsense, but the number of purchasers was nevertheless quite large, for that matter the author provided, in making a 'subscription round' in the country of 300 miles and did not pass by any manor or parsonage, but haunted everyone and in every place acquired at least one, sometimes several, buyers of the book.
