Arne Olsson, Swedish artist, born 1918 Grundsunda, Västernorrland county, died 2003. Studied at Otto Sköld's school of painting, conducted study tours around Europe, Olsson begins as an artist with figure compositions still life and portraits, Olsson's upbringing by the sea later finds expression in his art. Symbolic paintings around the meeting between beach and sea became a bit of his habitat as a mature artist. Here he touches on the basics of minimalism and forms that are filled with content from the eye of the beholder. Olsson is, among other things, represented at Borås Art Museum, Sundsvall Museum, Umeå Museum, Wasa Museum and Tampere Museum.
