Description

40x50 cm Elias Maria Reti was born in 1956 in Budapest. He studied painting for Joseph Beuys in what was then West Germany.
During the second half of the 1970s, Elias Maria Reti lived in New York where he came in contact with Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Jean Michel Basquiat. After returning to Cologne, he developed a style, inspired by his stay in New York, which came to be known as Junge Wilde.
Elias Maria Reti has lived and worked in Berlin since 2008. His special and often limited color scale is dominated by white, red and gray which he refers to tears, blood, lost homes and the innocence of his life respectively.
