HISTORY:
Lonka exhibited abstract/concrete painting with elements of human bodies at Galleri Artek in 1970.
During the years 1972-73, the paintings were dominated by naked human bodies abstractly painted in round paintings and transparently painted bodies "floating" over deep dark backgrounds. Stylistically Pop art but with a strong element of Finnish soul and mind as well as nature romanticism.
