Martin Möldener, artist and author from Linköping. In his painting, we see inspiration from Matisse, Chagall, and Sven X:et Erixson. "Spinal painting" is what Martin calls his work, where he sometimes disconnects the brain and lets chance take over. It is about creative power, surrendering, and returning to the primitive. What we see are simplified features in an expressionist spirit.
The tension lies in the meeting between emotions and people's inner thoughts.
Martin possesses a versatility in his creation where the visual sphere and words meet and take shape.

"Bokstavligt talat" (Literally speaking) is a drawing project by Martin Möldener that deals with idiomatic expressions, sayings, words, and proverbs interpreted from a literal perspective. On this subject, approximately 750 original drawings have been made, which are collected in three books: Bokstavligt talat 1, 2, and 3. From these books, Möldener draws certain original works in a larger format using ink on passepartout.
