STONE TABLE, Österlen, 19th century.

Stone table with Komstasten, length 157 cm, width 87 cm, thickness approx. 7 cm Base in elm, height 70 cm, length 117 cm, width 59.5 cm, of later date Note: Komsta quarry. It is believed that the quarry dates back to the 12th century, and the typical stone can be found in many of the oldest church buildings around Österlen. From Komstad, stone has also been shipped to, among others, the church in Ringsted, Sankt Petri church in Malmö and Lund cathedral.
