Provenance: Bo Sylvan (1931-2015) and thereafter by descent to the current owner.
Bo Sylvan was a Swedish art historian and museum professional with the title of professor. He was, among other things, Director General at Kulturhuset in Stockholm and Director of the Norrköping Art Museum. He was also the Permanent Secretary of the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts during the years 1990-1996 and an honorary member there from 1990.
