Keshan with a classic red field and a prominent central medallion in ivory, light blue, and dark blue. The field is richly decorated with stylized flowers, palmettes, and scrolling vines in harmonious shades of beige, light blue, olive green, and dark blue. The wide dark blue main border, filled with floral ornaments and arabesques, is framed by several narrower decorative borders that give the carpet an elegant and well-balanced expression. The dense knotting and soft wool pile provide a fine luster and highlight the detailed Persian design. The pile is wool and the warp is cotton.
