Proof Woodcut, pencil signed and titled to margin, 17.5cm x 10cm (32cm x 25cm including frame).
Executed in 1930 for the illustration ‘Pride’ in Henry Fielding’s ‘The Vision of William concerning Piers the Ploughman’ published by Cassell in 1930.
*Tegetmeier studied under Eric Gill and subsequently married Gill’s daughter Petra.
Condition
Time staining.
Under glass, unexamined out of glazed frame.
