Description

Lock stamped "IRG", traces of crown, ground down.

Brass mounts, partially stamped "RB", possibly the mount maker Jöns Rundberg (b. 1708) who at the age of 24 became a master at the Jönköping factory. (see "Svenska Böss- och pistolsmeder", Kåa Wennberg, 1989, p. 201.)

Barrel, traces of crown/ground down, marked 1740, smoothbore, cal. approx. 16 mm, length approx. 34.8 cm

Total length approx. 53.5 cm.

Condition

Restored, supplemented, ground down. Wear, scattered damage, barrel band and pins missing, barrel loose from stock. Cocks to full and half cock.
