Feigl was active as a German-Jewish painter in Prague and London. He attended the Prague Academy of Fine Arts and studied in Antwerp and Paris. He lived briefly in Berlin and was one of the founding members of the Prague Secession in 1928. In 1937, nineteen of his works were confiscated and subsequently destroyed in the Nazi 'Degenerate Art' campaign in Berlin. As a result, he fled into exile to London, where he integrated into the local art scene. He continued to paint, particularly English landscapes and mythological motifs, as well as biblical motifs and street café scenes.
