The painter and milliner Gunda Erikson was born in 1932 in Boliden and died in 2022 in Örebro, where she was most noted for her artistry.

The artist has held several art exhibitions, including at Liljevalchs in Stockholm and locally.

Erikson was a self-taught artist. She participated in solo and group exhibitions in Stockholm, Örebro, Gothenburg, Södertälje, and the group exhibition Naive Art at Jönköping County Museum in 1971 and 1976, as well as at the Kean Mason Gallery in New York in 1982. In addition, she participated in the Liljevalchs Spring Salon ten times. She was awarded the Örebro County Council cultural scholarship in 1978.

Her art consisted of detailed floral still lifes, interiors, and landscapes in a naive style with surrealist tendencies. Among her public works are art at the Brickebacken daycare center in Örebro and in a stairwell in the Gillet block. Erikson is represented at the Eskilstuna Art Museum, the Public Art Agency Sweden, and by numerous municipalities and county councils.
