Pastel drawing, signed and dated lower right *Fritz Klee 1954*, Fritz Klee (* 1876 Würzburg, † 1976 Stuttgart) was a German porcelain designer and architect, shaped the Staatliche Porzellanfachschule Selb in his period from 1908-1939, initially studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich, 1904-1908 at the Munich City Building Office, design for façade mosaics at Schwabing Hospital (still visible today), 1907 director of the newly founded porcelain school Selb, 1917-1922 artistic director of Lorenz Hutschenreuther AG art department, produced a large number of designs until 1939, artistically active into old age (source Wikipedia), here in portrait format abstract figures of various colors, some of which are intertwined, very colorful, sheet ca. 32 x 25 cm, coloured oblique passe-partout in the profile frame approx. 52 x 43 cm.
