Background: Arthur Percy (1886-1976) was one of Sweden's leading designers in the post-war period. He was artistic director of the Gefle porcelain factory, and his works are considered clear exponents of both Swedish Grace in the 1920s and Swedish Modern in the 1930s and 40s. For Upsala-Ekeby he designed some objects in the 1940s and 50s.
