Sokol, Rudolf Sokol (* September 7, 1887 in Altstadt, Austrian Silesia † April 29, 1974 in Bremen) was a German painter, first studied in Munich with Heinrich Knirr and Franz Thiele in Prague, obligatory member of the Reich Chamber of Fine Arts during the NS period, after the 2nd century. WK lives and works Sokol in Bremen, creates mostly landscape scenes (source Wikipedia), here a landscape depiction with Einsiedlerhof in the center, surrounded by sprawling trees and an extensive meadow, the sky blurring in the background, ca. 25 x 21 cm, double-cut passe-partout with gold trim, behind glass in a stepped silver frame, approx. 43 x 40 cm.
