Oil on panel, signed and dated lower left *C. van den Daele 1859*, Casimir van den Daele (* 1818, † 1880) was a Belgian painter, here in large format depicting a chamber scene of a presumably courtly family, in the middle the finely dressed woman, leaning on the baby's cradle behind, on the right a toddler playing the trumpet, ca. 92 x 70 cm, in a profile frame with golden trim, approx. 103 x 81.5 cm.
