Earthenware. Model 3003G. Height 23 cm.
Background: When Göran Andersson (1935-89) abandoned ceramics for a career as a scenographer, it was one who shed a tear. For what he created during his years at Upsala-Ekeby in 1960-67 showed a rare flair for the expressive means of ceramics. His decorative talent was evident in the art ware series, often in refined simple abstract designs, with carved and/or painted black strokes and lines against a solid color base, while his sometimes droll humorous animal figurines showed that he could also sculpt and shape.
