Ivar Björkman (1960-) is active as an interdisciplinary leader, creator and researcher in design and art. His work moves at the intersection of artistic practice, entrepreneurship and organizational development, with issues of creativity, culture and leadership taking center stage.

Between 2003 and 2012 Björkman was Vice-Chancellor at Konstfack in Stockholm, a period that involved strategic and artistic leadership within one of Sweden's central colleges of art, design and arts and crafts. Since 2012 he has been responsible for Openlab in Stockholm, an activity focused on interdisciplinary cooperation between academia and community actors.

In parallel with her academic and organizational work, Björkman has pursued her own artistic activities, including lighting design and painting. He was also active in the furniture company Pyra, where collaborations with established Swedish designers and artists developed in dialogue between artistic idea and production.
