Black painted cast metal housing with model designation *Erika*, *Paul Merker Karolastr. 18 Plauen iV* as well as *S&N* for the largest sewing machine and typewriter manufacturer in Germany around 1870, with four rows of keys one above the other, white keys with black lettering, overhead slide with paper roller and corresponding levers, in good condition, approx. 26 x 26 cm, height approx. 10 cm, travel version in a suitcase, around 1930/40.
